Special Skills Exams

Students are considered with special skills exams.

 1.     Faculty of Fine Arts:

Special Skills exams for the all departments of Faculty of Fine Arts (except Motion Pictures and TVdepartment) consist of two phases exams: First Stage Qualifying Exam and Second Stage Selection Examination.

First Stage Qualifying Exam is a single-session comprehensive test. Second Stage Selection Examination includes evaluation and interview.

 

1.1. Application Requirements:

OSYM guide includes the requirements for application. To apply for the skills exam prospective students needs at least 225 YGS score. Be entitled a program with YGS/LYS score is not valid for the special skills exams.

1.2. Announcement of the Exams:

All the required information for entrance exams is located in the Faculty Entrance Exams Guide. The Faculty and the Rector ate announce the dates of exams before 15 days of pre-registrations.

1.3. Pre-Registrations:

Prospective students are pre-registered on BYS (Information Management System) by online. They can choose maximum 3 departments during application process and pay the specified fee to the Bank.

1.4. Evaluation:

Special Skills Exams calculated over 300 points as total points of the two stages of the exams.

1.5. Result:

The prospective students who have right to registrate are announced on the web site. There is no personal announcement. Final registrations are done by the student administration. The candidates who do not registered within the specified times not registered.

2. Ataturk Faculty of Education:

Students are accepted to the departments of music teaching education, fine arts and painting teaching education with special skills exams. Students can apply by online on the web site of Ataturk Faculty of Education.

2.1. Application Requirements:

The Faculty determines registration dates for the applicants. For applications the applicants are required minimum 180,000 YGS exam point. Applicants can only apply one of the departments of music teaching education or painting teaching education. Exam principles are explained in entrance exam guide.

2.2. Evaluation:

Students are evaluated out of 100 points. If Special Ability Exam Score (OSYP) is less than 50 points the candidate is failed. If the score is less than 50 points, replacement point (YP) is calculated for the candidates. The candidates are ranked from the highest point to the lowest.

2.3. Result:

Exact registration lists are announced on the web site of our University. The prospective students are not be informed personally. Faculties’ student affairs departments are responsible for the exact registration procedures.

2.4. Pre-registrations:

Prospective students are pre-registered on BYS (Information Management System) by online. They can choose maximum 3 departments during application process and pay the specified fee to the Bank.

3. School of Physical Education and Sport:

Students are admitted to Departments of Sport Coaching Education, Physical Education and Sport Education, Sport Management with special skills tests. For detailed information please visit the web site of School of Physical Education and Sport.

3.1. Application Requirements:

1) Excluding the national athletes, the applicants are required to have minimum 300 YGS score for physical education teaching department and minimum 280 points for Sport Coaching Education.

2) Applicants can apply both Sport Coaching Education and Physical Education and Sport Education departments.

3) Applicants have to indicate the departments, which they apply during applications.

4) After applications, candidates cannot be changed the departments.

3.2. Application Place:

1) Application and registration places and dates are specified in academic calendar.

2) Applicants are required to deliver the required documents to pre-registration office in Anadoluhisari Campus by personal.

3.3 Required Documents for Application:

1) Printout of YGS exam result or photocopy of it.

2) Original ID card with T.C. identity number and photocopy of it.

3)Two passport size photo (beardless and open-hand)

4) Candidate application form

5) Health report to demonstrate there is no obstacle to enter special skills exams

6) National athletes are required to show their status with a document

3.4. Pre-registrations:

Prospective students are pre-registered on BYS (Information Management System) by online. They can choose maximum 3 departments during application process and pay the specified fee to the Bank.

3.4. Evaluation:

 If the candidates are accepted for a department, they are removed from other departments’ list.

3.5. Result:

Exact registration lists are announced on the web site of School of Physical Education and Sport. Student affairs departments of School of Physical Education and Sport is responsible for the exact registration procedures.
